At Paws on Wheels Pet Transport, we believe that every pet deserves to be comfortable and happy on their journey to their destinations.
How did we get started?
My name is Heather, and I am the founder and owner of Paws On Wheels Pet Transport. I've been working with animals professionally my entire life. I grew up helping my mother train, show, etc. and then went on to work in several grooming salons. I started this company in February of 2020 when at the beginning of COVID-19, my mother was unable to ship her puppies since the flights were being shut down. She asked me if I could bring the puppies that needed to go to new homes in different states, if the families paid me the shipping fees instead. I happily agreed. While I was on the trip, everything just clicked for me. This was my calling. I was always meant to work with animals, somehow, but this was it for me. It's been an adventure, and I've loved every second. I have since brought a few great friends on board who are just so awesome with the furbabies, and have become an important part of POWPT!
